Born To Die

My new obsession, Lana Del Rey, is beyond amazing. Her music and style has me head over heals for her. Keep an eye open for her because I'm sure she'll soon become the "IT" girl in fashion.

My Sanctuary!

After moving into my new apartment I really wanted to use the inspiration pictures I found on pinterest (HERE) a few posts ago and this is what I came out with. I'm quite satisfied with my new room!

 

This is actually a stand to hold fireplace tools. I found it at an antique store for 9 bucks! Doesn't it look good with jewelry hanging down from it instead of tools?

This magazine holder was a dirty brown color like the table below this and I got it for 3 bucks at a Goodwill! Nothing a little sand paper and paint can't fix!

BEFORE and AFTER

Yes, this cute little white table was actually that ugly dark wood one. I found it at an antique store for 40 bucks but after I pointed out that it was chipped everywhere beyond repair the store owner was nice enough to sell it to me for 22 bucks. Don't let the size fool you it weighs like a billion pounds!! I sanded it down then painted it with white (satin) spray paint. It was first going to be used in my living room, but doesn't it look awesome at the end of my bed!? Not to mention I get awesome storage room!

Weekend Road Trip

I spent my weekend at CNU (Christopher Newport University) with my best friend Allison. I did some shopping and I found some pretty awesome stuff. Some of which I will be proud to cross off my Spring Wish list. Pics to come later!

Spring wishes!

If you've gone shopping at all these past few weeks, you have probably noticed that most of every store's inventory has some sort of neon color. It's definitely all I've been seeing in absolutely every store I've stepped into. This is my wish list for Spring, you know things that I WISH I had. If not anything similar to them! All these colors can be easily transformed into summer outfits so I'm more than up for hunting down items like these!

Oh and just thought I'd let you all know I finally invested my money into a new camera so you'll be seeing a lot from me more often. YAY (:

Can we all agree that this Balenciaga dress would've been so perfect without that dominatrix-like choker? Oh Kristin Wiig, I really don't know why that just wasn't common sense.

Lea Michele's Versace gown was by far my favorite. Taking a risk with such a high slit, yet still looking classy is only something she could achieve.

oh so behind

When I got a blogger account I was ecstatic to blog about outfits and just my personal views on fashion but when I got home from winter break I found out that my apartment had been broken into and my really nice camera and lens had been stolen. I've been in a stressful situation with trying to move to a safer area and save money for a new camera, not to mention trying to save money for all my furniture expenses, so this blog has been in a serious isolation mode.

I  will definitely start blogging soon though!
